It is known as rock to a group of diverse genre of music popular, descendants of rock and roll original born in USA in the decade of 1950, as a fruit of a fusion between the music country and the rhythm and blues.

The rock is characterized for the presence of the electric guitar, the bass and the battery, or variants of this instruments.

Lyrics, experimentation, composition, live performance, and the pursuit of originality have been central elements of the genre.
